Purple "Rane" vs Old Mac Books
When I purchased the Rane Four for the night club I knew it was not for everyone. I soon realized that you need to be up to date in order to use the equipment (Visit the previous post for enlightenment).
Tonight's DJ showed up and he was excited to see the new controller. Then he reached into his bag and retrieved a 2012 Mac Book. It was chunky, light grey and had a cd player. I immediately said "that's not gonna work". We still tried to upload Serato on it, and the software said "that's not gonna work".
Thank goodness I saw this coming in a vision as strong as the one's my Haitian mother has every time I tell her I am leaving the house and not going to Work, School or Church. I went to my car and took out the trusty and musty DDJ-SZ. This mixer has served me well for 3 years then was killed at the club over the last 3. It has more money in parts in it then a kids race car. But it works with old PC's running old Serato Pro. Takes seconds to hook up but needs more signal then the Rane Four. No problem the party must continue.
The Moral of the story is don't get ready stay ready! And know at any given time.... Everyone Has a Plan Until They Get Punched in the Mouth!
