Vol #1 of being your favorite sound guy!
I guest star at Cavali NYC from time to time and I play my part. Most of the time I am a general mediator of all confusion and issues. But my main gig is sound, lights and systems.
Last night was the night we replaced the old / broken Controller with the brand new Rane Four Controller. Not complaining about the unit but I am complaining about the process.
- You need to have a up to date computer with the most recent operating system.
- You need to update Serato to the most recent version.
- Then you can download the Rane Four Drivers
So I get a month of showing up nightly to ensure every thing is moving smoothly and all the DJ's can load into the system.
I had the chance to attend a Robert Glasper concert, thanks to Bonnie Cannon Executive Director at Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center and the wonderful people at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center. No photos were taken of the performance because it was such an intimate theater. It was a great event and part of the Hamptons Jazz Summer Series.
